Invisalign
Most dental policies have coverage of orthodnotics. It will depend on your policy and if you are eligible for that coverage. We would be more than happy to research that for you during your consultation.
A number of Invisalign patients have undergone previous braces or dental work to straighten their teeth often in their youth. Adults can undergo Invisalign treatment as well as teens to correct the teeth without the social awkwardness of wearing metal braces. Invisalign can be worn without being noticed by coworkers or friends which makes them a preferred choice for people of all ages.
To achieve the best result we find that aligners be worn for 20-22 hours per day. Only remove to eat, brush and floss.
Microdermabrasion
Microdermabrasion has been sucessfully performed on every skin type and color of skin.
Recovery time is rapid and normal activites can be resumed immediately. Microdermabrasion is safe and effective on most parts of the body and can be used in conjuction with other procedures.
The number of treatments depends on the size, depth, and type of skin condition the patient has. Generally the procedure is repeated every seven to ten days for up to twelve treatments. Additional monthly or bi-monthly maintence may be required to keep the results.
Many unsightly surface conditions such as age spots, black heads, white heads, and fine lines around the eyes, lips and neck. Dull and rough texture skin can be improved as well.
MIcrodermabrasion is not painful to most patients, but some patients have sensitive skin. Most patients describe the procedure as a cat tongue licking their face.
Wisdom Teeth Removal
You may experience some discomfort and swelling after oral surgery. It is important to follow your oral surgeons directions for proper care after surgery. Ice packs applied to the cheek in 10 minute intervals may be used during the first 24 hours after surgery to help keep swelling down.
Oral hygiene is very important. The cleaner the mouth, the faster you heal and the less pain you will have.
Surgically removing the affected tooth is the most common method of treatment. When the tooth is partially or fully erupted it may be taken out by a dentist by simple extraction. When the tooth is impacted (trapped in the gum or jawbone) an oral and maxillofacial surgeon may have to divide the tooth into sections before removal. With most surgical extractions an incision is made in the gum and the tooth is extracted in one piece or in sections and stitches are placed.
For some, there is not enough room for the teeth to come in. They may become trapped in the jawbone and gums (impactions). This may cause adjacent teeth to become misaligned or "shift". Infection is possible when the wisdom teeth only partially break through. Occasionally, a cyst forms around a wisdom tooth which could cause deterioration of the surrounding bone. When wisdom teeth come in, they can move the other teeth in the mouth. Movement of other teeth can cause straight teeth to become out of line and become visually different.
